It is like a mini Woodford so should be good for them.

Now Bob,

Yappoon is not quite like a mini Woodford. It is like a very little National. Mmmm maybe I should say "from what I have heard.." because I haven't been to Woodford yet. But from the things my kids have told me it is much more feral than Yeppoon. (did I get the spelling right at last?) The hot showers at Yeppoon were, in festival terms.. to die for.

...that's not a band!.....where's the drummer?...

'course you would be proud Stephen, I think all parents like to see their kids do something worthwhile and although only a few get to make a career out of music it can be a worthwhile pastime anyway. My son can play a guitar reasonably well...for someone who rarely picks one up, but he has never persued it which sometimes dissapoints me a bit, each to his own though hey.

This new fangled U Tube certainly gives people a chance to get out there and show their stuff doesn't it?

Hey Stephen! Who says you can't 'go on'..? It's lovely to see you letting your hair down. And your son's band is just bonzaa! I thoroughly enjoyed the clip. The 'fiddler' showed us a gorgeous smile at the end....& did ya notice her eyes flicking over to your Thomas? eh. eh?
If you are open to feedback....they are a lovely bunch of creatives...I would have enjoyed seeing them 'engage' with the audience a little more...make eye contact & a little more facial expression. eg ''I don't need a man...'' the lassy could try looking into the audience & making a sort of knowing expression, half smile, twinkle in the eye....you know the sorta thing I mean?
I think they could do extremely well & you are well right to be proud of your lad. I love their name too....''The Paper Street Soap Company''...it just has that ''Stephen Whiteside'' ring to it.

Lovely comments, Glenny. I'll pass them on.

And thanks to you, too, Ross.
