Poet Laureate

Post by Bob Pacey » Tue Feb 07, 2023 9:23 am

I have just heard that the Government is to select a Poet Laureate as part of it's REVIVE the arts programme. Apparently, Town Hall Meetings were held in July and August last year to gauge public support for this programme ? This is the first i have heard of it and wonder has anyone else ? perhaps it is only the hob Nobs that get a say ? My view is that such a position should be filled by a Bush Poet !

I couldn't agree more Bob - but at the risk of sounding negative, I reckon the realistic chances of a Bush Poet Laureate are somewhere between Buckley's and none, don't you?
