Yes, Marty, I know David Musgrave's poetry...you can find some examples at: http://www.davidmusgrave.com/Poemlinks.htm

Carmel Summers is a terrific poet who features regularly on prize lists. She belongs to the Eastwood/Hills branch of the Fellowship of Australian Writers and I met her earlier this year at their presentation afternoon.

And I entered a free verse poem in the Blake Prize but obviously didn't get a guernsey...back to the drawing board!

I know of Graham Kershaw and I have read Geoff Page's poetry.

The Blake Poetry Prize accepts any style, but you would have to be good enough to compete with some of the very well established modern poets. For example Geoff Page, who is not only a poet, but an author of four verse novels, an academic college teacher, a literary reviewer for major newspapers for more than 40 years and is a publisher of the Australian poetry anthology, 60 Classic Australian Poems.

Don't go for that one Marty, back to the Laggan Pub for you

Why not Bob. Their entry fee is a bit steep as I recall, I'm too miserable to pay up. ;) ;)
