Is Michael Gudinski the new George Robertson?

I saw in the paper today that Michael Gudinski is about to turn 60.

Given that music is the new poetry, there seem to be a lot of parallels between the two.

George Robertson signed the following poets/writers:

Banjo Paterson
Henry Lawson
Mary Gilmore
Christopher Brennan
John Le Gay Brereton
Roderick Quinn
EJ Brady
Leon Gellert
Zara Cross
CJ Dennis
Norman Lindsay
May Gibbs
John O'Brien
Frank Clune
Ion Idriess

Michael Gudinski signed the following musicians/bands (amongst many others):

Renee Geyer
Madder Lake
Skyhooks
The Dingoes
Ted Mulry Gang
Split Enz
Paul Kelly
Models
The Saints
Kylie Minogue
Yothu Yindi
Jimmy Barnes
Chain
Kate Ceberano
Billy Thorpe & The Aztecs

Each also has their famous "miss". Robertson missed Miles Franklin. Gudinski missed "Men At Work". Robertson has a better excuse, though. He was away on holiday when the MS for "My Brilliant Career" came into the office. It was rejected by a staff member. Gudinksi turned MAW down personally - twice.

The parallels are eerie.
