For Neville

Neville my last poem was Oh To Be A Purple Moderator - that wasn't that long ago. I've since altered it considerably (it was written in a hurry and very late at night). Here is the new version.
Got an idea for something else more serious and have got the first stanza sort-of down on paper but have been busy with all sorts of things less meaningful and some other things much more serious. Sick dogs, children moving out of home, interviews to do, pondering my future etc.
Got a friend turning 50 soon and guess what? Instead of a party he is going on a cruise. Sound familiar? His wife has organised 6 extra couples to come along on the cruise as a surprise. So I'm going to change my poem to Kerrie slightly and make it for Laurie instead. So considerate of him to have a two syllable name don't you think?
Oh To Be A Purple Moderator (Version 2)
I’m a moderating moderator
and my name is lit in green.
I’m a watchful sort of moderator
seeking naughtiness on screen.
I’m a careful sort of moderator
and I’m scanning for obscene.
I’m a neat and tidy moderator
and I keep the forum clean.
I’m a cheeky little moderator,
somewhat sassy, tall and lean.
I’m a belly dancing moderator;
I’m a siren on the screen.
I’m a wicked little moderator
and I am the posting queen.
I’m a sparky sort of moderator
and I’m not that fond of green.
I’m a nullifying moderator
and I’m looking for extreme.
I’m a happy kind of moderator
who in purple is a dream.
I’m a busy little moderator;
all the postings I have read.
I’m a sleepy kind of moderator
and I should be in my bed.
I’m a record posting moderator
begging Mannie for a wish.
I’m a greenish looking moderator;
hoping to be purple-ish.
I’m a smiling sort of moderator
and I’m every body’s friend.
I’m a chatty kind of moderator;
on this note I think I’ll end.

I'm a hot and bothered moderator
and my ears are blowing steam
I'm a very sleepy moderator
Was my 1000th just a dream?
