Thank you John,

thank you linesmen, thank you ballboys..

Yes, thanks John, you know how I dislike any attempt to alter my name in any way. I also don't understand the Americanisation of our beautiful language.. Don't they know it is English!

Zondrae, the English probably aren't too thrilled with our Australianisation of their beautiful language, either. I suppose we lack the economic muscle to export it to the rest of the world, though.

Hi Zondrae

I'm late on the scene on this issue. Did you submit it for any new comps and if so, how did you fare?

Cheers, Jeff

Yeah, I'd like to know that too. How did you go? BTW...if it happened to be me judging & I recognised a 're-write' I think I would be impressed at the author's dedication....although I don't really think my memory would be ;) that good....

Morning All,

or maybe that should be 'moaning'? I have just come back from my regular 5.30am gym class after the best nights sleep I have had for ages. Yesterday I had a blinder. I addresses the VIEW club at Woonona. There were about 85 ladies present. I was able to engage them and keep them interested for a full 35 minutes. After which I sold 11 books. So now I have to print more, as these were all I had left of my early '3 little books'. Luckily they are all on computer and can be run off in time to take a few to Yass.

Regarding the poem in question. I have found an earlier version and, while it is a bit longer, I will concentrate on that version for polish and resubmit. It has a bit more 'information' that pads the story out and makes it more complete. So I will let you know how it goes. Meanwhile I was about to post 'Dragonflys', but I may have it in comp somewhere still and as it only received a 'C' in WA, it may be eligible for further comps. I haven't had much in the way of success lately but I also haven't written or entered many poems so how could I have any winners?

Congratulations Zondrae. That was certainly very successful.......especially after the hectic time you've had of late. I'm delighted for you.
