w/e/ 9/1/12 A REMARKABLE WOMAN

Post by Neville Briggs » Sun Jan 01, 2012 1:10 pm

A REMARKABLE WOMAN

She's a fine looking woman
with bright auburn hair;
the belle of the bush is Alice.
With the curves of her figure
and flash of her smile,
the sort to make plain ladies jealous.
And no man could resist
to give all he has
in order to gain her affection.
But she snavels the loot then
each man gets the boot;
she's got the routine to perfection.
She has seen off five husbands
and boy-friends galore,
her rejects all make quite a tally.
Oh, those hearts she has broken,
that treasure she's got !
Alice Gator ( some blokes call her Ali ).

was watching a show on Bris31 TV yesterday called - 'Corey' about a young wild life bloke at a croc farm...he scared the pants off me I can tell you with what he was doing
But she snavels the loot ?
I suppose it is a game to them as well as defence, probably the only joy in their life after capture. The Lawn mower was well accepted

Good use of prompts Neville - thinking outside the square. ;)

Cheers

Maureen

snavel..that's an old one, I thought it would be well known. If anyone wants to check, it can be found in the Cassell's Dictionary of Slang. They say it means to steal, pilfer or remove slyly and it is mainly Australian use.

Thanks for the reply Maureen.

Verb
snavel (third-person singular simple present snavels, present participle snavelling, simple past and past participle snavelled)
(Australian) To steal in a jovial way.

I presumed you meant it in this way after the lawn mower incident :lol: :lol: :lol:

That's the word Maureen.

Er..I didn't actually have the lawnmower incident in mind :oops: just a bit of whimsical metaphor on the dreaded predatory woman, who doesn't really exist :shock: ;)

oooh so Alice Gator was her real name :oops: and here I was presuming (wrong again) that you where punning a female croc.

Don't worry - be happy - a great story :lol: :lol: :lol:
