Just in time, with this one. I'm not satisifed with it but I put it on to meet the schedule.

A Foreign Land.

I don't live in the house where I lived that time
when all the world was just one street;
and the faces and voices that come into view
are not those I used to love and meet.
They used to smile, but now they laugh;
they used to glance, but now don't see.
I think anachronistically;
their discourse doesn't speak to me.

Voyager in a foreign land;
a stranger on an alien shore.
I'm hoping now to find the way,
so I'll be carried to my home
where my affections draw.

Hi Neville,
I like this.......and wow - anachronistically......
nearly a line of meter all it's own!
I think I'm going to have to try and use it in a sentence
some time today!!

You don't want to use that word Wendy ;) , it means becoming an old fogey :lol:

No going back Neville - it is never the same, and that saddens and diminishes us somehow.

Like the use of your old fogey word :lol: :lol: :lol: Clever

Cheers

Maureen

What about...
"Hey Dad, you're looking very anachronistically challenged today."?
Do you think I would remain in the will?

Ah Wendy, you smile with an admiring look and say lovingly , " Dad, have I ever told you that it's your anachronistic mind that really makes you stand out from other men ".
He will be so pleased and flattered. :lol:
