Re: A LOVERS MOON
Thanks Everybody,
Hi Jim,
I guess it's all in the way you read it, isn't it
G/day Bob,
Now here's a bloke who's on the same wave length as me, good on you mate .
Hi Phil,
That's the beauty of doing homework and asking for comments, it gets us all thinking about the finer points of writing rhyming poetry.
Thanks Dot,
I can't think of any rellies up there but it is possible.
G/day Neville,
Thanks for the input,
You may well be right, but to me the way I saw it was that the word HOURS was the important one and I would be disappointed if it got knocked back by a judge.
Probably the weakest part of that line was having BY for the next stressed syllable
It's a bit of a tricky one as Sue said she was thinking of it as a two syllable word, a bit like FIRE I suppose.
But I meant it as a one syllable word that was fairly heavily stressed.
What really pleases me as mentioned earlier, is that this got us thinking, discussing and putting forward ideas and different interpretations - all good stuff
Hi Heather,
Thanks for the moral support.
Cheers Everybody,
Terry

Re: A LOVERS MOON
One thing I forgot to mention.
When writing this I was thinking of the sinking of The 'Sydney' and the terrible loss of life.
As I'm sure you all know she disappeared out to sea from somewhere near Carnarvon and has recently been found at last after all these years.
There must have been many wives and sweethearts left devastated with this and other similar disasters.

Re: A LOVERS MOON
Reading Heathers post again I see she actually agrees with Neville, but I'm sticking to my guns.
I suppose the line could be changed.
