H'work for w/e 16.8.21 - OLYMPICS 2021

OLYMPICS 2021 .. Maureen Clifford © The #ScribblyBarkPoet

There's no shortage of star power it's all there to see
for the world who is watching the games on TV
as young athletes a plenty reach out for the gold,
and the Japanese people share their culture bold.
There are fencers just fencing with foils and masks
while equines jump fences, and do dressage tasks.
Athletes unite the world with their courage and flair
such a shame, thanks to Covid, the world can't be there.

That pretty well covered it Maureen.
At least we have something to watch and cheer about.

A nice little rhyme there Maureen and I think you've nailed that old saying that "Brevity is the soul of wit!"
Well done.
I'm still doing a bit of head scratching but I am sure something will pop into the scone.
Cheers

A different Olympics, indeed, Maureen. Now just 3 years to Paris - dare we look ahead??
