It's Raining!

It’s Raining!

© Stephen Whiteside 01.12.10

It’s raining on the footpath.
It’s raining on the street.
It’s raining on the nature-strip.
It’s raining on my feet.

It’s raining on the drive-way.
It’s raining on the lawn.
It’s raining on the big tree.
I see its leaves are torn.

It’s raining on the front yard.
It’s raining on the back.
It’s raining on the carport.
It’s raining on the shack.

It’s raining on the roof-top.
It’s raining on the path.
The birds will all be happy,
‘Cause it’s raining in their bath.

It’s raining on my shirt sleeves.
It’s raining on my hat,
And even bouncing rain drops
Are landing on the mat.

I hear the rain drops drumming
As I open up the door.
I step inside the house. Hey!
It’s not raining any more!

What a fun poem that is - reckon kids would love it - can just visualize a class of 5 year olds singing it.

Cheers

Stephen is this about Heathers place.

I like it a good rhythm and easy for the littler kids to learn
