Vaccinated Hero's

THE VACCINATED HERO’S

The Coffee group are looking smug, they’ve all rolled up a sleeve
And bravely got the Astra shot, although it’s hard to now believe.
For some were hanging out for Pfizer, even though they’re old,
until the time had come, to do what they were flam’en told.

Expendables they may well be, but answered still the call,
with Covid loose out in the east, it's not the time to stall.
They knew their place alright, down near the bottom of the queue,
and headed for the scrapheap, even though they’re all true blue.

They suffered then in silence too, despite the side effects,
though Varnie copped the bloom’en lot and wonders what comes next.
Yet still they gather there each morn to get their coffee fix,
and show the world just how it’s done, to hit Covid for six.

Yeah good one Terry, it's sure not a happy scene over here mate!
The older generation no doubt can still relate to the pre vaccine era and do what's right for the common good!
Can't believe these clowns demonstrating and tying up already exhausted services!
Cheers

Thanks Ron
It's hard to believe there are so many idiots running about mate.
I feel sorry for the vast majority of folks over there who try to do the right thing.
Only to see their good work undone by these brainless twits.
Lets hope there are better times not too far ahead - we/re lucky over here - for the moment anyway.

Well said, Terry. We've lined up for ours in Queensland too - no telling when the dreaded lurgi will leap over the border!

Hi shelley

I think the only thing you can be reasonably sure of,
is that it will get there sooner or later unfortunately.

G’day Terry, on the money mate, thought it was only set to cull out us Boomers
that’s why it wasn’t a race to get vaccinated.Keeps going the way
it’s going and you’ll have to book an ICU bed twelve months ahead.

G/day Allan

The real problem still remains, some people just wont get vaccinated for one reason or another.
And there's some weird theories going around as well.
Then the media have at times muddied the water even more.

Cheers mate

I have 3 family members in UK infected with this darn virus - luckily they were vaccinated and so their symptoms are relatively mild although one cousin is in hospital and experiencing some issues due to other issues. I for one am very over the 'stupid' people in our society who refuse to vaccinate. I agree they have freedom of choice as do we - my freedom of choice would be no vaccination - no treatment, but I am becoming a tough old bird as I age

I agree with you there Maureen, after all it is the unvaccinated that are clogging up the ICU units!! (I think it all tests our patience more as we get older!)
It also it makes me spit chips when we see these illegal ratbag protesters tying up services, and then some sections of the media claim police brutality!
I wouldn't want their job that's for sure!
Hope your relatives come out of it ok Maureen.

Hi Maureen & Ron

To me it seems it's time to put aside our own personal wants, and think of others for a change.
I wonder if those selfish people even ever stop to think that their actions - although unwittingly perhaps -
may cause severe illness or even death for others.
And certainly wont help to beat this virus.
