TWO BALCONIES IN ONE

The outlook from our accommodation on a recent visit to Rainbow Beach.

TWO BALCONIES IN ONE

My mundane life has once more been uplifted by a view
though this time not from one balcony but two,
a panorama multiplied by upstairs and by down,
divergent impressions of the vista all around.

A sparkling pool dominates the outlook from below,
fringed by verdant shrubs and leafy palm,
further on, a wooded copse defines a bright green row,
the scene sketching an all-embracing tone of peace and calm.

The upper level inflates the view to one eighty degrees
including now the sweeping beach and ocean if you please,
the Tin Can Inlet, Fraser Island both on display as well,
an aspect that on which all the day one could dwell.

Heaven’s found me early, this year I do believe
with sights I’ve seen from balconies and decks,
nature bestowing more than man can conceive,
no need at all for tacky side effects.

Did you get some stripey coloured sand in a little glass bottle. :)

Plenty on the soles of my feet Neville. Top spot not that far from us which strangely, we had not visited before. We spent a delightful week there with the balconies perfect for sipping red wine and admiring the aspect.

Sounds idyllic Jeff - nothing like a glass of wine on a balcony with a lovely view! So glad you enjoyed it and clearly appreciated each and every moment.

Thanks Catherine. Fond memories. I find I'm writing a poem about each of the places we have visited this year. Helps to reinforce the photos taken. Hope you enjoyed your holiday.

Thanks Jeff, yes it was brilliant. I like to do that too but must admit I haven't for a while, so yours should spur me on now with any luck!

Lucky bugger Jeff. All that I love. Balconies with great views. Tin Can Bay and Fraser Island ( for the fishing ) and red wine. Sounds like an unbeatable holiday.
Loved the poem.

Thanks Waz. Plenty of 4WDs with fishing rods at Rainbow.
