Wonderful Matt, I love it One of my favourites is "Nuremberg" since I am a fan of Albrecht Dürer. Even though it's not about Australia or the bush with its whey faced anonymity.

It was Slessor's Country Towns that inspired me to have a go at a poem along the same theme.

Matt I feel sure that Heaney, Thomas etc would welcome you into their ranks. I wonder which poets made them want to chuck it in? Is it the lot of poet, an artist etc to never be totally satisfied? It would be pretty boring if we all wrote the same though wouldn't it?

Why "scornful" rumps I wonder Neville. I've owned and bred cows and "scornful" is not a word that readily springs to mind when looking at a cows rump!

We all see the world through different glasses -thankfully.

He must have had a run-in with a cow hey Matt? I did once - got kicked in the knee by a cow of a cow. I won though, the bitch took up two freezers.
