OH JULIA

Did she fib or didn’t she fib?
That is the burning question;
Was she merely being glib
When she chose to mention,
There would be no carbon tax,
‘Neath the government she led
And because I saw her say it -
I know that is what she said!

Now she has changed her mind;
We are all in disarray,
Will what she says tomorrow,
Be what she declares today?
I don’t want to be sexist,
Nor seem to be too unkind,
But how many times a week
Can a woman change her mind?

How is it that as soon as somebody gets elected to the parliament they automatically becomes smarter than ever one else?

Tax the carbon; send our people bust, import from overseas, their carbon! Not our problem????

Perhaps politicians should be required to sign that they are telling the truth; on a document that spells out fines and prison sentences for false declarations, just like the taxation form or our drivers licence and registration applications etc.

I for one found your poem offensive and to degrade such a wonderful leader who has done so much since she got onto office is not in the Australian peoples interest.

Just because she lied does not mean she is a bad person it just means she is desperate to hang onto office and all the perks that go with it.

I think we should all be grateful for the effort that she has put in to completly stuffing up the economy and sticking to her guns no matter what the general public think.



Never in the history of the world has so much been stuffed up by so few.

Well, there's your mistake Vic. You should NEVER assume you know what a woman is thinking!

I was one who was astounded by the people interviewed before the election who said they would vote for her because they thought it was time a woman got the job. All jobs should be given on merit not gender. Now that should set the cat amongst the pidgeons!

Goodness Gracious Me Heather! You will be ostracized from the Sisterhood for talking like that!
In fact if you voiced that opinion within the Public Service you would probably be at least sacked!
The very idea! Judge people equally as in their ability to fulfill a role went out years and years ago.
I started out writing this as a comical comment on your reply but now that I pause to consider just how right I am I am becoming very very depressed.
We may joke about it but the reality is of course very serious. Just about everyone apart from a white Anglo Saxon male gets some sort of special consideration today in too many fields.
I remember when my son was applying for an apprenticeship twenty odd years ago there were two vacancies but one had to be kept for a female applicant and the other for an indigenous person. Neither had applied nor were they likely to given our location in Sydney and the trade but they wouldn't accept my son's application as the last two places had to be preserved just in case either of the aforementioned chose to apply.
