MEMORIES - Maureen Clifford © The #ScribblyBark Poet

Tanka

I took down the tree
hid it away in the dark,
much like my feelings
for you - displayed only once
a year for conventions sake.

SIMPLE - Maureen Clifford © The #ScribblyBark Poet

Haiku

A small mason jar
simply filled with pretty blooms -
nature's dream catcher

Well done, Maureen!

"Easy-peasy" you say? Mmmm - we'll see. I really don't "get" haiku, despite many attempts to understand its essence. But always up for a new challenge!

Cheers

You can do it Shelley  Don't worry too much about the technicalities for this exercise - A Haiku style of poem is probably what I should have stressed rather than a traditional Haiku.
