what do you reckon

A old swaggie talking about his mate ©

“She maybe grey and old, and a little on the thin side”.
“And some of you blokes may call her! Sorta worn out”.
“Be buggered!” that’s what I say.
“She still snuggles in real close, and keeps me warm at night”.
“And she don’t go off crook if I don’t shave, or have a tub at night”.
“But I guess she may smell a little I suppose, but that’s alright I don’t mind”.
“Though sometimes, I take her with me down to the creek!
So she can have a tub as well”. “What me with a sweaty body,
and I always cuddles her real tight an I gotta admit”.
“I’ve had some sexy dreams with her wrapped round me tight”.
“But fellas she’s been with me now, nigh on thirty years,
an she’s been with me through all those drunken nights I’ve had”.
“And fellas! she ain’t never been with another bloke,
cause I’m the only bloke she’s ever been with”!
This old blanket of mine!”

I've never slept in a cell, those beds are too hard.

You'll need more than an old blanket soon down your way when those Monaro frosts start to bite. brrrr.
