G'day Maureen.

Maureen, after reading your poem about Tasmania, I dug out some of my old sketches that I did back in 1994 when we went on a trip to Tassie.
I put them here not to interfere with your poetry thread.

They are just loosely done with pen and ink and a bit of watercolour. I like them better than photos, they seem to retain the feeling I had at the time. Bit like a poem

Also Port Arthur before it became a national disaster zone.

Oh Neville they are just terrific and I agree that they have more meaning because of the feelings that have gone into them. That Scamander beach one is delightful - have you done anything with these? Displays etc

Thanks Maureen. No they just live in a folder in the cupboard, you gave me an excuse to bring them out after many years. :)

Wow-they are beautiful Neville, too good to be hidden in a folder. Have you ever thought of having them framed?

I've thought about framing Sue, but framing is expensive and I have large  collection of such things, I have been accumulating since the 1980's. Framed things clutter up the place too, papers can be stored more neatly. ;)

I would hardly refer to these as "clutter" Neville.

Neither would I Sue - I think they are delightful little vignettes which I could see at least done up as blank greeting cards to promote the area or how about preserving the images for use on Coffee Mugs. A novel and very personal gift for your family and friends at the very least. Lots of things Neville you could do with them rather than hiding them in the cupboard.
