GOSFORD BUSH POETS

GOSFORD BUSH POETS
Good Afternoon Everyone,

Next Wednesday night promises to be one of the most outstanding evenings ever presented at the fabulous Gosford Bush Poets! Notwithstanding (love that word) the many marvelous poets and talented artists we have managed to present over the last nine years this month's guest artist is absolutely extraordinary by any measure. Noel Stallard is renowned throughout Australia and indeed overseas as one of the best, if not the best, bush poet in Australia.

Noel has won virtually every available bush poetry award both for his writing and his incredible ability as a performance poet. He is a past Australian Bush Poetry Champion, past president of the Australian Bush Poets Association and one of the very few people to win both sections of the highly esteemed Tamworth Country Music Festivals Poetry Competition in the same year!

Noel is not only a fine reciter and presenter of the spoken word as an art form he is also incredibly funny and wonderfully entertaining! Whatever you thought you were going to do at 7pm next Wednesday night (25/2) put a line through it and make sure you are in the conference room of the Gosford Hotel for what will be a magnificent night of great poetry and enormous fun. Because Noel resides in Queensland we are indeed fortunate to persuade him to appear at the GBPs and this will probably be your only chance of seeing Noel perform. Don't be late and don't miss it!!!

Entrance as always will be entirely free and everyone is welcome. Love to see you for dinner in the pub's absolutely brilliant bistro from 5.30pm onwards before the fun starts upstairs at seven.

Must mention that yesterday, 17 February was AB (Banjo) Paterson's birthday and that our mate Peter Mace was the inaugural winner of the Banjo Paterson Poetry Competition which was held on the weekend at Orange. (Perhaps just as importantly the 17 February happens to be my darling wife Helen's birthday too!)

'Twill be a big night and certainly one that you must not miss!!!

Very Best Regards
Vic Jefferies
