GOSFORD BUSH POETS

Good Morning Everyone,
When the Gosford Bush Poets meet at 7pm next Wednesday night (27/8) at their fabled HQs, in the conference room of the wonderful Gosford Hotel which is situated on the corner of Mann Street and Erina Streets, Gosford (just opposite Gosford Railway Station) their very special guest artist for the evening will be one of Canberra's finest bush poets, the remarkably talented and highly acclaimed Laurie McDonald! Laurie is well known throughout the bush poetry and folk festival scene as a gifted writer and wonderful performer. He is the winner of numerous poetry prizes, both for his writing and his performance skills.
Laurie is the poetry co-ordinator for the esteemed National Folk Festival and is a past winner of the National Folk Festival Reciter of the Year Award. His poetry has been featured on ABC Radio on numerous occasions and Laurie also regularly appears at numerous festivals and poetry venues. Eclectic is the word that immediately springs to mind when discussing Laurie's poetry skills and I am sure that everyone will enjoy seeing Laurie perform at the GBPs next Wednesday night.
Of course everyone will have an opportunity to share their favourite or their own poem before Laurie takes the microphone, everyone is welcome, entrance will be entirely free and we would love to see you all join us for dinner from 5.30pm onwards in the hotel's brilliant bistro.
'Twill be another wonderful evening and we really do recommend that you shrug off the winter weather and make that special little effort to be at the GBPs next Wednesday night to enjoy not only the wonderful talents of a truly talented poet but also the fun and friendship for which the GBPs are now famous!
For further information contact me on 0425252212 or me mate Peter Mace on 43693561.
Very Best Regards,
Vic Jefferies

PS (Now we haven't had one of these for a while) hope you have all caught up with the Gosford Bush Poets on Facebook! Kevin Gee has done a magnificent job of bringing the GBPs up to speed with a wonderful Facebook page and we would dearly love to see you contribute!
