Australian Bush Laureate Awards 2011 finalists announced

Finalists have been announced for the 2011 Australian Bush Laureate Awards to be presented in Tamworth this January.

Judges were highly impressed with nominations for these Awards, one saying: “Once again I have been blown away by the high standard and quality of entries.”

Also to be announced and presented on the day is the Judith Hosier Heritage Award, for a significant contribution to Australian bush poetry.

The 2011 Australian Bush Laureate Awards will be staged in the famous Tamworth Town Hall at 2pm on Tuesday, January 18.

A star-studded line-up of bush poets will appear during the gala awards concert together with special guest country artists including Carter & Carter, Dianna Corcoran, Amber Lawrence, a number of Bush Laureate finalists and compere Jim Haynes.
