HURRY, SCURRY

Post by Neville Briggs » Wed Mar 14, 2018 11:22 am

HURRY, SCURRY

Tailgaters are a menace,
Tailgaters are a coot.
Tailgaters are a feral scourge
That we might like to shoot.

Why drive to get in front,
Why drive in such a rush.
Why drive as if the public road
Was dodgem shove and push.

Get off our tails you urgers,
Get off our mirrors face.
Get brains in gear; there’re lives at stake,
It’s not a grand prix race.

Too true! My strategy generally is to slow down. Eventually they get sick of you and simply overtake you. If they do hit you, at least it is at lower speed.

So true, Neville! I absolutely hate it when someone gets right up my ribs on the road, with no room for error in case of sudden braking. It is worse when it is a big truck!

It’s like those impatient drivers who arrive at their destination 2 seconds ahead of the rest of the traffic, after putting everyone at risk by overtaking in dangerous places. Totally crazy.

Cheers

G'day Shelley. It's that very human urge...." second to none ".

Exceedingly irritating and a menace, I totally agree, Neville. My strategy is exactly the same as Stephen's....which probably annoys the tailgaters even more, but what do they expect?!
