G'day Trisha,
Flood is an evil part of nature, a fire is clean and leaves no residue, what is left behind is black but it is benign, a flood on the other hand just precipitates filth, particularly in built up areas that use sewerage and even septics, but apart from that even clean things become filth after a flood...I hope you fared OK....My regards to you and Spen.

Very good and very true Trish and as Ross points out the aftermaths of the filth the flood waters spew out are horrific. My sister in law is in Hospital rushed in with a temp if 40.9 which the Drs say is a flood related 'germ' she has picked up and she is on IV drips and antibiotics. So definitely a lot of caution required.

Cheers

Maureen

Hi Maureen,
Having only seen this type of devastation on tele, I can barely imagine the heartache that follows. You wouldn't wish it on your worst enemy!
I hope your sister in law has a speedy recovery, and undoubtedly there will be a lot more cases to come.
Trish
