Some internal rhymes

Post by Neville Briggs » Tue Dec 28, 2010 2:06 pm

Ridge Lightning

A very wise man at The Ridge
kept his underpants stored in the fridge.
He said " I'm no fool,
they will keep me quite cool
after eating hot chilli with cabbage ".

A reckless young fellow named Billy
devoured fiteen bowls of Thai chilli.
He said " That was beaut"
as he started his ute,
dispersing effluvium pungently.

Ahhh things are a bit slow round 'ere.

I suspect Zondrae the internal refers to the contents of the stomach and the noises it wouuld be making after consuming cabbage and chillie, I suspect the effluvium would not fall under the category ' A rose by any other name would smell as sweet' either

Good on you Maureen, puns are an essential part of the poetry bag of tricks aren't they ?

G'day, Neville.

GASTRONOMICAL!

Perfect beet.

Very clever.

Enjoyed the read. Though, during my indulgence, I did have a few pangs of heartburn.
