Congratulations all!

As you can see from Brenda's post, the Cervantes organisers have not supplied the author of the VHC entry "Stolen". We're hoping someone on the Forum will claim ownership.

Cheers
Shelley

Fancy almost loosing your name Catherine, but I'm pleased to report the lady running the Competition, emailed me your name about the same time you let us know it was you.
Irene usually acts as coordinator but was unavailable this year due to prior commitments, one of the Cervantes Committee ladies then took on the job and did a great job, with the exception of not realizing the need to publish the full results. I was emailed within a couple of days that I had won and received my award shortly after. Brian Langley a qualified ABPA Judge, judged the competition.
In his report he noted the high standard of many of the 50 poems entered, and in the difficulty of making the final selections.

Now after all that congratulations to all the successful poets.

In passing Catherine the judge mentioned that he more or less had to almost toss a coin to decide between our two poems (he didn't actually use those exact words) so it seems that I managed to somehow just fall over the finishing line into first place.

Dianne Knight who was the coordinator mentioned how popular our Bush Poetry section of their festival is, and that members love reading the poems - which are displayed each festival, this is great news for the future, in view of recent losses of written Competitions.

Thanks Everybody

This was an old poem that had always done well, but never quite managed to get the chocolates up until now.
I note David has mentioned that much the same had happened to poems of his in the past.
