Here is 12-piece band The Tequila Mockingbirds performing at the Troubadour at Maldon on Sunday night. (It was very cold, but they're a hardy crew, the Troubadour audience!)

Thanks for the photos Stephen. When I was at Maldon some years ago I was surprised to find that the main venue did not have chairs for the audience. Is that still the case?

The main stage at Maldon is only used on the Sunday. It is essentially a platform beside a grassy field, facing a natural boulder amphitheatre. No, it doesn't have any chairs.

Mind you, this is not so unusual. At Port Fairy none of the large venues have chairs. Everybody brings their own 'folkie chair', which sits very low to the ground.

All the other Maldon venues - the Troubadour, the Guinness tent, the Neighbourhood centre, the Penny School, and the various hotels and churches have chairs.
