Walking the Tanglefoot Circuit on Saturday, it struck me that some forest footbridges are very pretty, and others are very ugly.

Totally agree Stephen - one blends in with its surroundings and becomes a good Australian welcoming the fern fronds that cluster around its structure - whilst the other stands aloof and apart, giving no ground or welcome to those who venture close - it just doesn't have the warm touchy feel at all does it?

That wooden thing is certainly ugly and crummy looking. I love the beautiful steel bridge, bright and clean and strong, perfect for the job.

Not at all Dave. :) I think steel is an excellent material for bush bridge construction, very sturdy and durable. Wooden things fall to bits.

Sorry Bob, just no aesthetic appeal in your bridge. :)

True I guess, But a touch of woodland colour would enhance the bridge somewhat.

Might be so Neville but just imagine what mysteries lie on the other side this is one of the creek crossings on our park nature trails and it leads to

This.

I found a small vase of flowers near the chapel and every now and then do a tidy up.
