(New) Cork Station, about an hour out of Winton.
'Old' Cork is on the property, on the banks of the Diamantina another hour away, but 15 minutes by chopper ...

Young 'Boonie' is 13 years old. He asked if I want to go and check some pumps with him. I said, "Sure"! He asked, "Will my driving make you nervous?" I asked, "Should it?" He said "No!" and it didn't. He also helped us butcher a steer, handling knives very well while taking instruction.

Bush kids grow up very well.

Good pictures Manfred. That young bloke only just has to learn how to put his cap on the right way.

Thanks Nev. Well, that peak would just get in his eyes. He had enough trouble seeing over the steering wheel ...

I'm impressed that he had the thoughtfullness to ask if you would be nervous.
