There are some amazing toilets in the Victorian alps. This one is in Camp Valley, near Cleve Cole Memorial Hut, on the slopes of Mount Bogong, Victoria's highest mountain.

The camping grounds at Lake Awoonga near Calliope and the public parks around Montville in Qld have similar ones to the one shown at the top - it is such a simple and effective system that I reckon they should look at using them in homes. The end product at Aroonga is used on the gardens after it has composted down to a perfectly friable mulch and I would presume the Montville ones do as well. Very eco friendly.
