Sorry Robyn, postcards are not for me. ;) I'm not a fan of Haiku, I think they are more suited to their original language setting and style, like sitting in an oriental garden just meditating, something that I think is foreign to our culture. We are always on the move.

There's an Australian poet who does lots of Haiku; Andrew Lansdown. He even does rhymed Haiku and poems with several stanzas in which each stanza is a Haiku.

It's that time of year again - just got back from Possum Valley (on the Atherton Tablelands) and swanned out through Herberton which is awash with flowering Jacaranda and Illawarra Flame.

They really soften the harshness of the setting in the hottest driest time of year.
