Bush Poets at Tocal

Tocal is a large agricultural college near Dungog NSW. Every year they have an enormous agricultural/country show called the Tocal Field Day. Thousands of people turn up there.

I was looking around the Tocal stalls to-day and I saw some patchwork vests. I was thinking how these things are popular with some bush poets and looking up I saw that the proprietors of the stall were none other than Bob and Lois Sanders from the Australian Bush Poets.

I took a little snappy of the event. Lois is wearing one of the "bush poets" vests.

Sadly, there were no bush poetry performances during the show. There has been in the past. :(

G'day Wendy. The Minmi Magster's brother is the resident blacksmith up at the Tocal homestead and Bob Skelton alias Minmi Magster was doing some bush poing last year at the blacksmith's shop. I didn't go over to the homestead this year, so he might have been there, but it wasn't on the program.
