If you wish to listen to an immaculately presented delivery of verse....this is it!!
Kelly Dixon, great friend, author of 'Leave Him In The Longyard', Bush Poetry & Country Music Icon,...and...great-nephew of Henry Lawson, presenting 'Gilligan'.

Hooked me in . . . . but where's the rest of it?

I met Kelly last year down at Malanda - lovely bloke and yes, a true legend of the land.

Loved the bit I heard Glenny, but that just made me want more. Where's the rest of it? :? :?

His delivery was too quick for me, my old ears can't listen that fast.

I think that's a bit fast. ;)

A good poem is like a good red wine, you don't quaff it.
If it can stand being done quick, then I would start to doubt that it could be a good poem.
Poems are made from words, you've got to hear the words, not just a sort of impression of the story.
