Barry went into hospital earlier this month with sudden and unexpected renal failure caused through a breakdown in his immune system.
Cay advises that Barry is now home but still quite unwell. He will need dialisis treatment for the rest of his life and the current aim is to be able to facilitate this treatment from home rather than from hospital.
Barry and Cay are a very important part of the bush poetry commmunity. Their support for the genre both locally and nationally, over so many years, has been both welcome and appreciated.
All in the ABPA hold them in their thoughts through their trial.
