Blue the shearer - Col Wilson

Post by Maureen K Clifford » Mon Dec 08, 2014 10:02 am

Some very sad news indeed. Blue the Shearer’s (Col Wilson) grandson Matthew took his own life. Mathew was 25 and suffering depression. He had an estranged partner and a young child. As you can imagine Blue and Pat and Megan (mother), Richard (father) and Ike (stepfather) are distraught as they try to come to grips with what to most of us is the unthinkable.
Matthew is known to most of us through his appearance in Blue’s Poem, ‘the Grandkids’ which he wrote when Matthew was but two years old amd which has stood the test of time.
All our thoughts and support go out to Blue and Pat and the family as they struggle through this difficult time.
The funeral was held in Leura last Tuesday and over 200 people attended.

I may not always succeed in making a difference, but I will go to my grave knowing I at least tried.

The Black Dog takes another victim. A horrible tragedy.
