From Frank's daughter, Cath ...

Today I've had to say goodbye to a man respected and loved by many. It has been a hard few months but he is finally resting in peace. I will miss my dad more than anyone would know. We have become such great mates over the years and I miss our chats so much. Only a couple of days ago he was telling me how much he loved my kids. When I last saw him and told him I loved him he said you better or there will be trouble - joking to the end. Ride those wild horses in heaven big fella xxx

For any who may be interested, the funeral will be held on Monday 29th December 10:30
at St. Edward's Church. Tilga Street Canowindra NSW 2804
Presbytery ~ 39 Suttor Street) Ph: (02) 6344 1210. Fax: (02) 6344 2228.

Manfred has advised us that Robyn Sykes will be representing the ABPA at Frank's funeral today. We do thank Robyn and also Sue and any other members who were able to get to the funeral.
Frank certainly deserved to have some of his poetry mates present.

I add my thanks to those who could attend Frank's Farewell.

I would have been there except for this ankle boot.
Please give us a report.

A few words on Franks funeral for those who couldn't make it. On December 29th, Heather and I were joined by many from the Bush Poetry fraternity along with a huge gathering from the Canowindra community, family and loved ones, to farewell a man respected by all who knew him. Robyn Sykes gave an endearing speech on the man we all came to know and love for his wit and humor, his kindness and generosity, the selfless way he conducted himself as a mentor to all. Thank you Robyn for representing the ABPA in such a brilliant manner. Robyn 's speech was followed by Carol Heuchans recitation of a Will Ogilvie favorite. It was a very fitting celebration of Franks life. RIP Frank.
