Another terrific issue of the TAT Poetry magazine.
The magazine's reader base must have expanded enormously now.

Worldwide interest... also giving overseas poets some useful educational exposure to our wonderful Australian Bush Poetry. Ballads.

Also it is a pleasure to see Noel Stallard's writing!!... he is certainly Firin' on the Eight as John O'Brien would say (and actually DID say in "The Parish of St Mel's"). Love Noel's writing.

Well done for another bumper year Maureen and Thank You so much for your hard work in putting it all together again. Every two weeks without fail!

Thank you for all that you have done this year in promoting bush poetry in general and for bush poets individually too..

Thank you Gary - I appreciate your appreciation  Our reader base has certainly expanded - not sure of the latest figures but very proud of having poet from Nigeria, from Ketchikan in Alaska and one from The Kindgdom of Bhutan on my books  there's a lot of water between those places.

We have work from 4 of our younger poets in this issue along with an interesting interview with Dot Church - Dot is a poet who lives on Magnetic Island , a suburb of Townsville in far north Queensland. Michael Crowley's poem collective gives an interesting and informative look on the days of first settlement here in Australia and our gorgeous front cover is a photo taken by Leonie Parker of the iconic Glasshouse Mountains on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. The Mountains were named by Captain James Cook in 1770.
Lots of enjoyable reading to while away an hour or so - so relax, kick off your shoes and enjoy.

Lots of good reading in the latest issue of The Australia Times Poetry Magazine .....Brenda Joy shares a very sad personal experience with her poem That's How it Is, and my own poem A ring around the Moon - also touches on the loss of a loved one. The circle of life continues on as it has done, and will continue to do so long after we are gone.

Wendy Seddon's poem Love Electronically is right up there. Who ever thought that bush Poets only wrote about cows, and sheep and things in the outback, really has it all wrong, - a modern day Bush Poet writes about anything and everything and especially things that impact on their daily lives just as Lawson and Paterson did in their era. Banjo Paterson wrote about trams - they were a modern invention back then .

We have a completely new segment in the magazine that we hope to bring you on a semi regular basis. This is being written for us by Gary Harding who is himself an accomplished poet. This segment will be showcasing early Australian Poetry - some of which you will never have read because it has never really received any coverage.

All of our magazines - more than 30 now - are completely free to read - simply sign in with an email address ...
