To all the ABPA members who were kind enough to share their work with me - thank you for entrusting your 'precious poetic babies' to me, I hope you all enjoy the layouts of the mag.

As always I ask that you share our links to help get our poetic voices heard around the world, and if any one would like to submit work for the magazine I am now working on the October issues and have a few spots yet to fill. I would really love to get more Australian content into this mag. I am swamped each week with work from OS poets, but the Aussies are dragging the chain :( ... so please if you enjoy it, please share it ... now go and enjoy a coffee and a good read.... http://www.theaustraliatimes.com/magazi ... sue/418/#1

In this issue of The Australia Times Poetry #emagazine we bring you work from #poets in #Australia and around the world, and who better to lead off but our own much loved Henry Lawson and his delightful poem of The Blue Mountains that he wrote in 1888.

We then have some work from our bush poets, Heather Knight, The ScribblyBark Poet, Dudley Pye and Allan Cropper and a beaut interview with Allan as well. We also have a previously unpublished and rediscovered poem from poet Blue Rigby, I do hope our readers are enjoying this little insights into what makes some of our poets tick. We have poets from around the world sharing with us, and it is a privilege to be able to share their work through our Aussie #e-zine Please share our link to help get our poetic voices heard http://www.theaustraliatimes.com/magazi ... issue/420/

Our Aussie bush poets really came to the fore in this issue ... to read the magazine in full, if you are not already a member - simply sign in using your email address, indicate which of the magazines you want to read (all free of charge) and away you go.

Beersheba had the water and the Aussies had thirsts large,
the 4th Light Horse fixed bayonets, the order came to charge
and though the Turks had opened up with their artillery
those fine young blokes on Walers epitomized bravery ...

This issue of TAT Poetry commemorates the brave Aussies who took part in the Battle of #Beersheba riding astride their Australian #Waler #horses on the 31st October 1917. There is even a poem written by a trooper who took part in the actual charge.
Debra Shiveley Welch shares a little Halloween horror with her story about The Haunted House and Aussie poet Marty Boyce reminds us that bush fire season is here again with his poem Close Air Support .

Lots to read - Enjoy

The wildflowers are blooming in Western Australia so what better poem to start The Australia Times Poetry e-magazine than WILD FLOWERS OF AUSTRALIA ...written by Caroline Carleton in 1811 - a delightful poem that has stood the test of time, followed by THE CALL OF THE OUTBACK by our own Western Australian poet Terry Piggott ... lots of good reading as always in this issue.

After the events of the last fortnight across the world I suspect that we all perhaps need some good #poetry to uplift our souls, in a world that seems filled with war, suffering and sadness - when everything else crumbles into dust, poetry remains.

Another issue chock a block full with a variety of poetry styles from poets around the world. Our lovely front cover of #Uluru surrounded by #wildflowers is courtesy of Sheila Pham
