After wrestling with health issues over the last few months, Liz Ward, peacefully slipped into the Silver night yesterday evening (4th Sept 2011) ...

Our condolances go to Liz' Family and many friends in the Bush Poetry community ...

More details will be posted as they come to hand ...

I was looking back through the post and once again I was reminded how quickly time flies.

I was saddened to hear of Liz's passing at the time as she had a great love for bush poetry.

Liz was a part of the Bundaberg Writer's group when I first went along and was part of a force to
establish a Poet's group in it's own right.

We were rather amazed at how many folk turned up for our inaugural meeting and showed an interest in developing
the group.

Liz was our first President and worked hard at promoting the group and representing the Bundy Mob as many festivals.

Liz also worked hard at supporting the Bundy Muster and the A.B.P.A.

Lots of good memories Liz.
