The Final Frontier

The Rosetta has landed
Way up on a comet
Cost a couple of billion;
give or take a few million.
But it's money well spent
It could possibly tell us
( or maybe won't tell us )
The secret of life.
Could they find while they're out there
A cure for Ebola ?
Just that medics in Guinea
Could use a few million.

As in many things in life we are so busy reaching for that far off star we miss the one in front of our noses - thought provoking Neville - I think we would be far better off in many cases concentrating on today and let future generations take care of next week.

Only one way to answer that Nev and Mausie.

"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The trouble-makers. The round heads in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status-quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them. But the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."

Maureen, if only we could all act on the belief that there are consequences. At the very least a please explain. ;) :roll:

And, Bob, the world says about them " away with him, get rid of him "

certain irony in all that money spent landing that tiny little space craft on that comet all those miles away from earth while we spend a million dollars a week looking for a Boeing 777 somewhere on the bottom of the Indian Ocean.

I think you're right Matt, to the uninitiated it looks like bungling incompetence or sordid self interest but it is all a cunning plan for our benefit.
