It's not widely known but is apparently a well established fact that...

G'day Willum. Sorry..The devil made me do it
The phrase depends on
buffalo having three meanings 1. Buffalo ( a town in the US ) buffalo ( a large ox ) and buffalo ( shove or push )
So...Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo
means;
The oxen from Buffalo that are pushed by oxen from Buffalo, push and shove those pushy oxen from Buffalo. I think that's right
I got the phrase from that great wordsmith , Stephen Fry.

Now Dave you made a statement
Oh Neville all the storeys that aren’t fibs would possibly be quite true.
Now it just happened out west a little stud bull escaped in a district show for quite a while and they looked everywhere for him. About 4 hours later he was located, 175 miles away in a paddock.
Now it just goes to show just how far a little bull can go.
But the good news was when they found him he was heard singing a song it went like this.
Cows may come and cows may go but I will go on for eaffer and eaffer
