The Barney on the Brewery

Post by Duncan Williams » Mon Jul 14, 2014 12:41 pm

Remember reading a poem from the 1980's, Called, The barney on the Brewery. based on a heap of Drovers at a stock reserve at Brewery Flat. I remember bits and pieces of the lines. " Les Tracey from a sulky was handing out free wine."
And " Bobby Ross had drunk the gin." and many drovers gathered from miles around for this event. I understand that the names were true. Bobby Ross was an old Drover that lived in a covered Wagon on the out-skirts of Moree in the 1950's.
Would like to get a copy of this poem.

Duncan.
