The Dunny

Post by Bob Pacey » Tue May 10, 2011 4:23 pm

Anyone know this poem or the author ?

They were funny looking buildings, that were once a way of life,
If you couldn't sprint the distance, then you really were in strife.
Some were nailed, while some were wired, but most were falling down,
There was one in every yard, at every house, in every town.

G'day Bob

The following two sources on the web credit a lady by the name of Judy Jenkinson as the author of the said poem. The second gives it the title of "Ode to a Dunny":

There seems to be a few other sources there that quote Judy as the author, but no two looked at with a definitive title.
