Just having a look at a few poems I've not looked at for some time and see I've changed the fonts around. I think different fonts suit different poems (as well as different line breaks).

Do most poets/writers use a standard font, or change it around?

Marty, (on a rainy Sunday morning :D - it's the dry season so it's a pleasant, yet warm change)

I agree with you Marty - I love using Montype Corsiva for romantic or girly poems or historical poems and Segoe Script for my free verse - dont know why - just do - just sharing :D

Yeah there's so many fonts to choose from isn't there. I think a good choice of font can enhance a poem. As long as it is readable - some are so fancy-arse but illegible.

I guess I'll have to write a girl romantic poem to see if Montype Corsiva suits :)

Pssst. I'll give youse a little hint....sometimes....& that is only sometimes...some poets use exactly the same font for everything...& guess what? It is not beyond the bounds of possibility that they can compromise their anonymity with a judge, in a comp..............just sayin'.... :?

G'day all,

I usually use the same font. Sometimes when sending in to a competition I change the font and make each poem a different one. In the few competitions I have judged I have found people who do both. Do they think all judges are so clever that they can pick who writes poems? I recently shared the judging of the 'Broken Ski' with Carol Heuchan and Laurie MacDonald and I had no idea who wrote what. (In fact I thought Glenny may have written one of the winners)

I agree the font may enhance a piece but I don't think it can be 'the difference' in a competition.
