Bob

Everyone agrees with you, Bob.

This is a general poetry discussion. Other forms of word art aren't taboo. We should discuss them.

I have long held the view that if a poet can not or will not experiment with other forms of poetry then the poet may be limiting the opportunity to reach his or her full potential.

By engaging in these other forms, even badly, we learn a little about ourselves.

Personally, I can't tolerate haiku. I have had a go though.

I am not suggesting that you or anyone else go and find mountains to climb. Just take a stroll up the hill sometime and take in the view.

I regard myself as a poet. Not a bush poet or a contemporary poet or anything else. I can't label myself in that way. But if you can, I fully support you and I fully support your passion for your art.

Yours in verse

Mal

I don't agree with you Bob. Just so we are clear on that......

....'cause there'd be no fun in that whatsoever!

Copied from the front page of the site headed General poetry discussion

( Discussion of any bush poetry topic.)

Mal I'm a member of other poetry sites where I post and read and discuss all forms of poetry.

I have had my say if no one agrees then so be it.

Yair, I'm with you Bob, I'm not really into Haikus either.

I much prefer LOWkus ...

Mannie you really should have included these in the homework section - they are quite clever although I would debate the practicality of the starch - because spraying it on doesn't work - you have to iron it to make it work well - however the other one is quite clever

I think I would rather be 'into' Haiku - your wetsuit sounds quite explosive
