'Day All,
The following was in this morning's SMH, Column 8. Looks good, anyone know of it?
Ian.
''My dad was the bush poet of the village of Warkworth in the Singleton district. In response to a newspaper article about phrenology, he wrote a poem, Her Lover's Cranium, published in The Singleton Argus of February 17, 1917. The fifth of his six verses proclaims: 'And her fingers will stray/O'er my head in a way,/ That once would have filled me with pleasure./ But it's plain to me now,/ While caressing my brow,/ She is taking my cranium's measure.'''
