Acrostic on my Name
Tough challenge Maureen, but here goes...
Acrostic on my Name
Cheerful I try to remain all the while.
Animals, music, and verse make me smile.
Trusted, I’m told. All imbalance despised.
Humour and harmony vital and prized.
Emotions on sleeve. Indecision on show.
Rebel at times, although you’d never know!
Idealist and realist - for some aren’t sincere.
Not always trusting in all that I hear.
Eager for travel. Believing in Love.
Listener, not speaker – requiring a shove!
Eschewing all conflict, unkindness reject.
Esteeming compassion, forbearance, respect.
Middle Name Additional:
Fond of Champagne, but still keep as a treat!
Riled by injustice, confusion, deceit.
Against complication – the simple life’s best.
No care for politics. Maths leaves me stressed.
Captivated by nature. Content on my own.
Enraged by bad manners (a dog with a bone!)
Sometimes too sensitive…. That’s me, my friends - a work still in progress! Acrostic now ends.

Beautiful Catherine, flows so well and love your clever self-assessment in regard to your personality and make up!
You have covered so much, well done!
And also love that ending line!
Cheers

Well Done Catherine
They're not so easy are they, you sometimes wish you could change your name.
But I reckon you made a pretty good fist using the name you were blessed with.

WOW! Nicely crafted and rhymed and thank you for sharing a little insight about you with us all - that in itself is sometimes a leap of faith isn't it, but we are all friends here I believe You were definitely up for the challenge

Ah, thank you, Maureen...yes indeed some of it was a bit of a leap, ha! Had to persevere though, especially after you challenged me with "my turn", ha!

Superb, Catherine! Love it - and well done on your fine self-assessment. I think it's you!
This is the sort of thing I originally had in mind (a self-assessment), but sort of gave up after a few attempts. Then I read the other side of our fellow contributors' ideas - acrostics based on names but telling a different story. Mmmm ... I wonder ...
Cheers
