HOMEWORK PROMPTS FOR WEEK ENDING 18.11.19

Post by Maureen K Clifford » Fri Nov 01, 2019 1:14 pm

Apologies to everyone for my tardiness with posting these prompts - life just got in the way over the past few weeks, but thank you my dear friends Shelley, Neville and Terry for giving me a nudge and also helping out with some prompts which are always welcome.

Terry suggested, that just for a bit of fun we have a go at homework go written in the style of the early rhyming poets. eg The Highway man, Tarantella, Daffodils ,The Raven.

I reckon that an excellent idea Terry, thank you.

And a big thank you also to Shelley and Neville, who helped me out with these prompts -

Backyard Jacarandas

Cry of the curlew

Faced with the future

Dry leaves

Damper and Billy Tea

Wrought with pick and shovel

hard times

So there is a bit of choice there for everyone and I know that the poems that are submitted will be interesting and varied and doubtless amazing as they always are. There are no critics here, only every encouragement so don't be shy, give it a go and you may well amaze yourself.
Thank you to those who always support this section. Your efforts are never unappreciated :D

Go to it my lovelies - taking on board Terry's suggestion ..... release your muse

Cheers,

Maureen

I may not always succeed in making a difference, but I will go to my grave knowing I at least tried.
