H/work for w/e 11.3.19 POSTING FOR TERRY - The Perfect Match

Post by Maureen K Clifford » Mon Feb 25, 2019 10:19 pm

Terry is having computer issues and asked me to post this for him ....

This started out as possible sonnet for last month,
And it’s not perfect for this month either, but near enough.

I call it a ‘nonnet’

THE Perfect Match

There was a special bond it seemed to me,
two people who as one you sensed belonged
as lifetime partners, that were meant to be,
and neither one would see the other wronged

I looked at them and wondered could it be;
Somewhere, somehow, a perfect match awaits
us all; perhaps, there’s even one for me;
but sadly few will find their perfect mates.

I reckon you have done very well with this Terry and to have found your perfect match puts you way ahead of many of us. I like your nonnet and if it isn't perfect - doesn't matter at all. It has its own charm :)

Good one Terry. I think when two people are prepared to give rather than receive, they mysteriously discover their perfect match.
