Homework 11.2.2019

Post by Neville Briggs » Sun Feb 03, 2019 5:06 pm

This summer has been marked by relentless heat.

Warm night comes light as
cockies squall a raucous flight
Air sighs a hot breath

Summer sun glares out
and turns the sky to iron
where hills melt in haze

Grey dust bakes dry while
cicadas shrill the still trees
All the grass is straw

Mmm - that was the theme racketing around in my head too, Neville! Probably a different heat from yours - ours is lower temperature but sticky humidity.

I'm still cogitating ...
