Homework F/E 140211 - (Untitled 2)

Post by keats » Sun Jan 30, 2011 2:09 pm

His star burnt bright, an awesome sight
And yet the star was mad
He was watching Michael Jackson
Filming a Pepsi Ad

His brain went tick, then gave a click
In Nervous anticipation
He headed home with great ideas
A Poet's conglomeration

Then onward ho, to Tamworth's show
Not nervous, not bereft
He'd show these cowboys poetry
And then walked on, stage left

His newfound cause, received applause
The crowd were on their feet
The best Bush Poet's crowd he'd seen
(Though Gympie's hard to beat)

He gave a cough, then started off
With a poem about the stars
Then Paterson, Lawson and halfway through
He saw the sign 'Golden Guitars'!

He'd made a blue and wandered to
The TREC and not the 'Yard'
But he soldiered on undaunted
Although he did it hard.

Somewhat bemused, and all confused
The judges lost the plot
He got Artist, CD of the year
In fact he won the bloody lot!

Thus he headed back, his armed were stacked
But didn't see the light
This star burnt bright, his hair aflame
And he cremated himself that night!
